Chess in Troisdorf 3
More about this list
The 1. Schach-Klub Troisdorf meets on Tuesdays from seven at Am Bergeracker, with youth training before the club evening. Its calendar holds cup, blitz and Chess960 tournaments, and the Troisdorf Open, an open town tournament played over several weeks by players of the surrounding clubs. In March 2026 the club also announced open chess meetings in the Troisdorf city library.
Two Troisdorf schools play school chess. The GGS Sieglar primary school, listed as a German Chess School, holds a school tournament of its own and qualified a team for the state final in Hamm in March 2026, and the Heinrich-Böll-Gymnasium reached the same final as one of the Rhein-Sieg district winners. Both groups are for their own pupils.
